The Semantic Web The World Wide Web or simply the Web, has conquered our everyday lives. From searching for information to communicating online, Web is a vital part of our online activities. However, the Web was not always the same and it seems that it will not remain the same either. The Web was first introduced in late 1989 and can be described as the Web of documents, aka Web 1.0, or in simple words, the Read-Only Web. In 2004, a more anthropocentric Web appeared, the Web of people, aka Web 2.0, or, compared to Web 1.0, the Read and Write Web. Nowadays, a brand-new Web generation has been born and it seems more attractive than ever, the Web of data, the Web 3.0 or the Semantic Web (Choudhury, 2014).
