From 2D to 3D: Wireless Earphones.
And my 3D Model is ready! That was an experience. A part of Creating Digital Collections II Course was to create a 3D Model from the scratch. From choosing an item, capturing photos, and processing them using a software for 3D model creation, called Agisoft Metashape. My item is a pair of wireless earphones. The whole process was unexpectedly enjoyable and creative, but also time-consuming.
In particular, the first capturing of my item was not successful. Although I followed all the steps and instructions given to us, even created a DIY lightbox (a box that provides an even diffusion of the light, such as in a studio), unfortunately, the software couldn’t reconstruct a 3D model of my earphones. Therefore, I had to recapture my item. Two of the main changes between the two photo shootings were that I placed the earphones on another base and that I did it outdoors.
