My name is Julia Grijspaardt and this is my academic blog. I am currently a Media Studies: Digital Cultures Masters student at the University of Maastricht. After finishing high school, I studied at Southwestern University in Texas for a year and half, allowing me to gain an international experience. Subsequently I started the bachelors Arts and Culture with a Media Culture specialization at Maastricht University. I opted for a Social Sciences minor at Turku University in Finland within the program. In June 2020, I obtained my bachelors degree in and decided to continue my studies of media. Through this blog, I want to share my academic journey and passion for media. Additionally I want to discuss interesting and important topics and contribute to academic debates in the media sphere.
