Nexta Live – a Telegram channel

Nexta is a Warsaw based medium founded by 22-year-old Stepan Svetlov, a Belarusian citizen residing in Poland as a political refugee. Nexta Live is able to report and share exclusive news and footages which are censored by the government of Belarus. As the internet was blocked after a rigged election, the Telegram channel assisted in coordinating the mass protests in Belarus. Nexta Live shares information to help protesters avoid clashes with police. They published times and locations where to meet and also share information like addresses where they can hide or get medical help, lawyers and contacts of human rights activist.
