Notting Hill Carnival, a journey to the Caribbean

Today, nations, people, cultures, beliefs, artistic practices, eating habits can be found all around the globe. Our world is an evolving, exciting, and interesting place but in the present day also violent and unjust. What we see right now is rising fear about ‘the other’. The word migration is currently part of our daily lives, in the news, in the press, on the radio. Fear about ‘those we don’t know’ is spread by a lack of dialogue, marginalization and discrimination. The notion of “us versus them” is suffocating us all. This is illustrated in the election results having a far-right tendency all over Europe.
